Did this today with my friend. Word of warning to cold climate DIYers the lock screw can become very brital careful you dont wreck them. But this has to be one of the simplest mods we have done to his car. Once you under stand what you are doing you can be done in 5 min total

You can use a fare bit of pressure. Just put your hand behind the bracket as you push. Its quite a study spot

Driver's side for me popped out much easier than I thought it would. Installed it with new led and it worked fine. No issues. Passenger side took a lot more effort. Finally got it out and replaced with the new led. Unfortunately, I didn't check to make sure the lights were working before I pushed it back in. Must have not pushed the led in all the way because it didn't work on my passenger side. I go to take side marker back out and I break the silver clip on top so it wont stay in all the way . Anybody else with broken clips use something different that doubled sided tape to get it to stay?

Also, the black screw that holds the fender liner in place wont pop back in. The bottom 3 work but the top one by the side marker won't go in! Any ideas?

The drivers side was annoying to pop out and back in.
Tip: for people having difficulty popping it back in. Get a tiny flat head and try to push the clip towards u by inserting the flat head from under.

I was able to remove mine using a mix of strength and brute force; no screwdrivers were needed. Might not have been the best idea, but it worked like a charm and I used to have a G35 that I had swapped clear corners on, so I just followed the same regime. Easy, simple, and quick, I was done within 90 seconds.

Here's a quick iPhone pic I snapped. Helix light smoked side markers, from the guys over at FT86 Speed Factory.

Finally got around to do this, removed it with brute force that's for sure, but you'll feel the click when you pop it out.

Mine still aren't completely in, but they hold up well. When I have the opportunity, I'm gonna try to use a small screwdriver to force the A-clip back in as suggested by others on this forum.

The clip you push with the screwdriver will more than likely bend when you try to remove them, it wont break but you may need to bend the clip a tad when you want to put them back in, the bracket that the clip slides into is very firm.

So far I cannot find decent pictures to show how to remove this clip as it's in a ridiculously hard place to see and it's more trial and error to get the clip out but once you understand how the damn thing goes in and out it's simple. Kinda makes you feel dumb once you realise how simple it is.

Yeah, I think I'm pushing down on the wrong part of the marker. It's frustrating cuz all the DIY videos make it look so easy haha.

Thanks so much! I bought these today and installed them myself, thanks to this post. The hardest part was unclipping the original set. After 15 minutes of gentle prodding, I just went for it and jammed the screwdriver in.... and pop! The trick is to line up the screwdriver perfectly horizontally, not angled up or down. It helps to have a short, thin screwdriver, otherwise the head won't fit and the tire will get in the way of the handle. Also, be sure to be in the lower, larger hole. (Thats what she said... Sorry!)

my A clip was coming loose when I kept popping the driverside side marker in.

I resolved it by supergluing the clip into the socket, works flawlessly
