Hello my name is Wyatt and I just joined the forum today. I look forward to reading and discussing about such a great car! I am only 18 and I have a passion for mechanics. When I was looking for my second car, i wanted something older, easy to fix, reliable, cool, and rear wheel drive. After weeks of searching Craigslist for a car to fit my interest, i came across a MKII Supra that was stunning, so my father and I went to go see this car and it was even more gorgeous in person, the seller also gave me one hell of a deal. I bought it without hesitation and was completely happy with it. A couple months later, it starting leaking oil terribly and knocking. Eventually it spun a main bearing; I made the decision to keep the car alive and invest everything i had into the repairs. I rebuilt the engine completely on my own, machining the crank, replacing the rings, honing the cylinders. I got her running 1 day before high school graduation last year, she still runs like a top. It was then i realized my passion for mechanics and my love for Toyotas. I ended up getting a job as a technician at a GMC dealership and buying a new car to get back and forth to work. Man, I must say, what an amazing car! I've already installed ISR catback exhaust and an Injen cold air intake, i am not concerned about horsepower as much as conserving the balance of the car. Thanks for reading! See you around the forums.

Please stay away from motoring.au. Yes the engine chirp is normal. There hasn't been and probably won't be a OEM power increase. And BRZ owners will think they are better than you.
