Humm... question...
I have a BRZ just like you @GH05T, which I thought was HID already. What is the difference between that and the factory one? Also, did you have to do anything to get the color of the LED stripe around the main HID to match? How about the day-time running LEDs just above the fog? Reason why I'm asking is that I have a 6000k side markers, and having a real tough time locating a set of 4300k to match the factory HID. |

Thanks for the info! I just took a look at my headlights again, the stock halo LED strip color does look a bit off compare to the stock 4300k bulbs. I don't know why I never notice ot before, but my side markers does look way "white" compare to the stock bulbs. I guess I'll have to change them now...

I just picked up my 86 this weekend and have a laundry list of to-do's for her already. First up is definitely the lighting. I'm looking for a full overhaul to LEDs inside and out, and an HID kit. In reading the reviews and posts, it seems like most people recommend either HID_Powerhouse, or Concept3LED. Any reason for one versus the other?
@KI_ZN6: Any chance for pics of your Switchbacks in action, with the 6000k HID kit and/or DRLs? Trying to see about color match, etc. Also, only the BRZ has courtesy lights, correct? I see there are housings/reflectors on the doors of my FR-S, but they don't actually illuminate. Is there a way to add courtesy lights to the FR-S? Thanks! |
