Screwing into the backseat in trunk

Hello,

I am wanting to mount my subwoofer amp and LOC to the backseat in the trunk. Does anyone have any experience doing anything like this or similar? If so, what would be the proper way of doing this?

Thanks,
FineV

Build a box. Mount to actual sheet metal.

Based on the title, I thought this thread was going in a completely different direction!

Much disappoint.

What I would do instead is screw the amp to the trunk liner. I put mine in the far left corner right above the factory amp.

I screwed my trunk liner to the back of the seat. OK for that but there isn't much there so I wouldn't try it with anything heavy.

"Screwing in back seat" is a surprisingly safe Gif search by the way.

No vibration issues? Well padded behind? Sound good? What did you do to the subs in the door?
I have though of doing this (I probably won't but I think about it).

That was from my old BRZ. I basically rewired the whole sound system. The subs in the door, speakers in the dash and the rear speakers were all wired to an Alpine mini amp. I replaced the factory amp. The Subs were wired to a 2 channel amp. No vibration issues whatsoever. I took the stuffing out of a body pillow and filled the space. Oh and I replaced the head unit.

The only thing I miss from the Lancers I had is that Rockford Fossgate system with the sub. I can't put a sub in my trunk because I can barely squeeze golf clubs in there no so can't give up an inch of space.

one of these will fit. it's not a rockford, but adds bass. I ran one for about a year. It fits in the spare tire where the chunk of foam is. This pic is of a passive sub. I had the one with a built in amp. Fully self contained!

OP, I would suggest not screwing anything to the back seat.

there's also a bose variant, most commonly installed in the nissan murano.

i bought a bose one a while ago, haven't had time to play with it yet. was going to use it in a different project that never panned out.

oh, and cdt makes one as well
