Rear Fog Lamp for 2022+ BRZ

Stumbled upon this, haven't seen it mentioned before. There seems to be a lot of threads about aftermarket options for the first gen. Apparently it is an accessory even in the JDM Market.

Price is steep, but this appears to contain the turn signal stalk with the switch and a wiring harness as well? Could be plug and play? (There is actually a separate kit for MT and AT, assuming there is a difference in the stalk?)

Interesting. I'd love to see a kit to add brake light function to it.

I'd be pretty interested in doing either a brake light or rear fog. Honestly I'd prefer the rear fog.

When I lived in Europe the rear fog lights on my car was very useful in all sorts of poor visibility situations. Never understood why they haven't caught on in the US.

Of course most drivers here would just turn them all all the time to look cool and blind everyone behind them...

I'm interested as well. This wouldn't be plug and play due to the turn signal stalk being on the opposite side on USDM cars.

We will have to wait for someone to make some kind of harness kit like the first gen.

I would be interested as a rear fog light only as well, not clear why more manufacturers don't offer them in the US, most likely cost cutting since it is not a requirement. As noted, you still see them on more expensive vehicles..

Unfortunately many are tied to the front fog lights, and many of the moron's driving the cars drive around all the time with them on, blinding those following needlessly, and I'm sure cluelessly as a result..

I really think it should be a DOT regulation that they have to have a separate switch, and not activate with the front fog lights..

Hmmm, crap, good point. Wonder how many European left hand drive countries the 86 twins will make it to, most likely needing a fog light for regulations..

Aren't rear fogs pre-installed and wired from factory on the 2nd gen models?

There's a lens and reflector. No harness/socket apparent. The assembly is plugged with a rubber cap.

Oh that's interesting. They're pre-installed and pre-wired on GCC-spec models where I'm at.

Here's a shitty pic from when I was at the dealer checking the car out.

We also get the clear markers and all that jazz.

Do you also get the option for folding mirrors there, too?

I think we do. That's the button on top of the mirror control knob is it not?
