Went to put the waterslide decals on the EVO6, and half of them disintegrated as soon as they left the backing. I wonder how old this particular model is, cuz the decals did look a bit aged.

Technically still plastic 😜

Painted Tamiya PS47 "pink-gold" flip paint. Light buckets were included and I'll be using those. Still deciding on if I want to run LEDs, and if I do, I'll go with MyTrickRC Afterburners.

The 1/24 EVO6 was clear coated the same time this S15 body was painted.

That has sentimental value for me, so I'll never get rid of it. Been lugging it around everywhere I moved to since I got it. Lol

i started off with 1 as well. first stereo the parents allowed me to buy.

for a while, there was a run on various similar models and speaker sets getting donated to the thrift stores. i've now got 3 main units and 4 pairs of the speakers

This was/is my one and only bookshelf stereo system. I can't remember when I got it, but I want to say around 2000 or 2001??? It's still kicking and sounds good still, even after some major abuse in college. Although the CD changer is acting up, and the volume knob does what ever it feels like doing when you try to adjust the volume

I don't use it anymore, and is more of a decoration at this point.

Why do you have 4 pairs of speakers, but only 3 mainunits?

well, i once had 6 pairs of the speakers. 1 was sacrificed for science to learn what was inside, and another was torn apart for using the speakers in a different bookshelf speaker build.

it's just what the thrift stores had on the shelves. i buy it when i see it because i like the functionality and the sound of them. haven't found anymore lately, though i do look from time to time.

Tried out various offsets for the LM wheels, had to settle for the highest offset (still don't get why in the RC world, the lower the the number, the higher the offset). Otherwise, they would have been sticking out way too much.

Also got the light buckets and muffler on. I want to lower the body more, but the front are at the lowest position possible without me modifying the stealth mount.
