Hi all, ended up going with the BRZ.

WRB Limited in 6 speed for $33,476.11 OTD (NJ)

Got 1k off MSRP which also really helped seal the deal for me. I'm so damn excited!!! ETA likely December

Go find a dual Subaru/Toyota dealership and ask the service manager which manufacturer helps more.
Ah very interesting, this is my first Subaru so this is good info to know. I've always been the one to ignore dealers as much as possible (Honda) and do the work myself or go to my own mechanic, might start heading to dealers now for regular service then.

I’ve had the same exact goodwill experience with Toyota. I’ve been going to the same dealership for many years. I think it’s more to do with the individual dealership than brand. With the exception of Lexus, they are leagues above.

I am on team 86 for the first gen, its why i got an 86 GT and not a BRZ (used or otherwise).

For the second gen, i think the design is more grown up/mature and i think the BRZ nose fits it better...thus for the second gen i am on team BRZ.
