Reviving because I'm a bum...

I'm a big fan of using OEM fluids in cars (honda habit) but can't find the GL-3 fluid for the trans. This lead me to half a dozen threads where everyone recommends Motul300 but it's GL-4/5 which seems to eat the synchros in our cars. SO

I've found this german stuff on amazon "RAVENOL J1C1003 SAE 75W Manual Transmission Fluid - MTF-3 Full Synthetic" that claims to be GL-3. Before I jump into this random german juice from the internet, does anyone have a non-dealer source for oem Toyota GL-3 trans fluid?

I can't find any of those anywhere though. This is interesting.

EDIT: and I just read in another thread that GL-3 was retired in 1995... what in the crap is going on.

Did this last weekend. I was struggling to find the washers at a reasonable price and came across this which includes both the transmission washers and the diff crush washers...enough to do it twice for $8 prime delivery. Figured it might help others....

Non LS to stay GL-4 compliant. That seems to be they key to keep from eating synchros?
