Exedy Stage 1 Failure: Advice + Stage 2 Questions

I'm currently running an Exedy Stage 1 (rated for 203tq) and I have 205tq. I have about 30k miles on the clutch and its slipping out under medium throttle in 4-6th gear. Basically the clutch is going bad already. I don't know enough about cars to understand why it would be failing already but I do know that I'm not hard on my car, I drive mostly highway miles, and this is the only car I've had clutch issues with in my 17 years of driving manual cars.

That being said I need to get a new clutch and I might as well get a higher rated clutch if the reason for failure was being too close to the torque spec. I've read some on the Exedy Stage 2 and I'm not convinced. Are there better options that are still reasonably priced?

Thanks for the help!

I haven't heard anything bad about the Stage 1, but Exedy's stage 2 seems to have negative reviews so far.

What are the better options for that torque range?

TBH I don't know. I would guess something like the ACT HD clutch or the South Bend Stage 2 daily.
