Spraying nitrous into the intercooler would be much more effective and efficient than spraying it on the intercooler. It would cool the compressed air and add oxygen to the mix. But then you might as well get rid of the FI and just use nitrous. Similar to my liquid oxygen injection idea where you get rid of the FI and the intake valves, half the lobes on the camshaft and port injection. You can just use direct fuel injection and liquid oxygen injection.
Now I understand that liquid oxygen is harder to find than E85. The only place around here that has it that I know of is the Spaceforce Station at Cape Kennedy. And I think it might be considered as being hazardous cargo so shipping could be expensive.

Maybe it's not such a great idea after all.
