My 2013 FR-S is still running great and only has 40K miles on it, but I have the upgrade itch. I don't see, could have missed them, any posts on how much new leftover 2024 and 2025 BRZ Limiteds are going for. Of course I realize that prices will differ with options and dealer doc fees.
There are also some used low mileage 2024s starting to appear.

My question to you, and others, is how much would have been the OTD price of your BRZ before your trade-in?

No one?

You may know already but there is a $500. military rebate available. It states that "those in active duty and reserves, all military retirees, and veterans within 24 months of separation may be eligible for the Military Program." I qualified but I served more than 24 months ago, and I'm not active or retired. https://www.subarunet.com/vip/customer/military IMO, if you are verified by ID.me then you qualify. You will be issued an authorization form that is good for 45 days from the issue date.

The dealer gave me a $2500 discount on my 2024 BRZ Ltd. 2.9% financing for 48 months.

Not exactly the answer I was looking for to my question. You posted this info in your first post.
Again I realize that there are a lot of factors that will change the OTD price, and most are reluctant to post the OTD gen 2 price they paid.

For now I'm keeping my 2013 FR-S. The upgrade itch has gone away.

If they are reluctant, it means they don't want to admit how much more than MSRP they paid.

I ordered my '23 in April '22 right after the ordering window opened. 2023, Red, Limited, manual with the STi shifter. I paid MSRP. They tried to add a $1k markup and until I stood up to leave.

In Oklahoma, taxes and registration are paid separately from the price of the vehicle. So once you receive the title in a few weeks you then go to the DMV and pay those there.

I received a discount of $2500 off list price, no dealer mark up.

There was the documentation fee as well … don’t remember the exact amount. $700? I don’t recall. Good luck getting that removed And there was an option package with floor mats, fancy rear view mirror, the thing that protects the rear number, the stupid racing stripes I had them remove. 7% taxes. Tag and title which aren’t much in GA.

My downpayment was 2013 BRZ trade in, $10,000, and $2500 cash.

When I negotiate a car purchase I focus on the out the door price. I don’t care how they get there. I ask this of all dealers involved in the negotiation. And I tell them if I come in and they have a “new” number, I will leave immediately and no deal.

$2500. off list is excellent. I was able to get out of paying the doc fee on my 2013 FR-S. I purchased it used in 01/2014 with 4K miles on it from a Toyota dealer. They agreed to take the doc fee off the final negotiated price and then add it back in, net zero. Gave me some bs about a class action suit if they did not charge me. There is no law in TN that they have to charge a doc fee, and no cap on it. It keeps increasing every year. Carmax now charges a $599. doc fee in TN. Some states have a cap on it. https://www.autocheatsheet.com/new-c...d-you-pay.html

I think most of us have encountered the extra dealer ad-ons sticker, i.e., ceramic coating, nitrogen filled tires, wheel locks, etc.; and the sneaky fees the finance guy adds.

There is a Motor Vehicle Advertising Rule Change in TN that became effective in 2022. Don't know if other states have a similar rule. https://www.tn.gov/content/dam/tn/co..._4-20-2022.pdf
Dealers here though are still not including all the extra fees in their online advertised prices.

Not that it is really relevant any more because it was so long ago, but I paid MSRP in January 2022. At the time, the 2nd Gen was brand new and finding one for MSRP was almost unheard of. I just happened to stumble into a local dealership with corporate policy of not doing mark-ups. I would have walked away and bought something else if they tried to mark it up.

In my state if you trade in a car, you get a break on the sales tax, so I remember the tax/title fees being pretty low and my plate transferred with the car so there was no registration/liscense fee. The processing fee wasn't great, but I don't remember the details other than it wasn't negotiable and I'd actually paid worse on other cars.
