Congrats on the outback dude! Sounds like you made a very responsible "grownup" choice and at practically no cost to you. Can't beat the same payment and no interest!

I am absolutely astounded the dealer gave you more for a trade in with the mods as well that is AWESOME!

As stated by others above I'll miss your posts I've learned a lot lurking through them and seeing yours and all the other white outs make me wish really wish I didn't buy a firestorm....

Cheers

Bullshit, you will get a K&N filter replacement for better gas mileage. Wait for it...

HAHA!! You are probably right. The FRS was supposed to remain stock as well. We all know how that turned out

Thank you so much! I was SHOCKED that I got that much for the car! Thankfully I kept the mods pretty minimal. Only thing they didn't like was the perrin intake tube, but I'm taking the stock tube back to them tomorrow.

I didn't think I would be so content with my decision, but my eyes are on the future and not the present! I have a buisness I'm building, so this is one less distraction for me. I was on my way down from Irvine to day and follwed an FRS almost all the way home in the civic. The car is such a good looking car! Stands out so much and looks GREAT! Lines couldn't be better! I'm glad I got to own one for some time! It was a blast.

So you end up in a SUV and a civic?

Your wife won.

I'm surprised you left all your aftermarket parts on the car. Judging solely from the pictures you could have easily gotten at least $1000 for the catback and toms. At any rate, the outbacks are awesome. I've been considering getting one for the wife.

congrats on the outback! I was about to pull the trigger on a whiteout FR-S when my wife's mdx started having some issues that a mechanic couldn't figure out. Quickly traded it in before it got worse and got a 10 outback limited. It's a great car and my wife is happy with it!

LOL - tough to tell without emoticons
i always tell people that when you're married, you gotta thinking about what's best for the relationship, not about 'winning' as an individual, because you're now a couple and the other person is the other 'half'. obviously it requires both to understand and think this way - easier said than done.

They basically gave me $3k for those mods He said they recently took a stock one in and they gave him $18k for the trade in. I got $21k trade in for the car which is pretty insane considering that's probably all they (as a dealer) will be able to sell it for.

NICE! Sometimes the smallest things make a HUGE difference! My wife has been EXTRA nice this last week. She said, "I know you loved that car and I know it was a sacrifice to get rid of it"

This is my first "practical" set of cars. We've always had a semi-practical one (multiple civics), but then usually a stupid impractical one. This is weird and fun at the same time.

Your FRS was nicely modded...hopefully the next owner will treat her right

Damn family responsibilities, the wife is going to get her new RAV4 this year before I can get my FRS...
