Scion FR-S 10 series question

On my Scion FR-S 10 series, the Electroluminescent dash panel display does not appear to work, I do not see "Scion" when starting up my car. Any ideas?

I believe there is a switch under the steering wheel or dash area to turn it on/off

I second this, it's a little switch doesn't say on or off but when you flip it, if I remember right, it doesn't show you it's on right away. Gotta get in and out to check. Otherwise take that shit back to the dealership and complain.

Right? And no one at the dealership could tell me what that was for. That and the headlamp adjustment switch. Idiots.

What do you expect? I know Toyota/Scion salesmen are not selling Ferraris but I think they should care about researching the product they are trying to sell as much as making the deal. You can't realistically expect a salesman to know everything about a specific model BUT the least they can do is put the effort in to follow up and get you an answer.

That's where the disappointment left. He guessed what it COULD be for and left it at that.

You actually think they train sales people? You're lucky if they stay six months.

Think about how much people have complained about the cr buying process. Sales people don't stick around as they're one of the most hated people in the country. Why bother to learn the cars inside out if the customer just hates them and wants to get it over with fast as possible and "haggle" away any commission they get for the effort.

Find a non car person and they're proud they don't know 3/4 of the feature are.

The only time they seem like they know anything it's when they talk about the Camry. Then again, how long does it take to learn and repeat the "Camry is awesome, Camry is the best selling car in the US, Camry is made in the US, and Camry is the most reliable thing on four wheels." mantra?

Not knocking the Camry, just an observation that salesmen put more effort in the car they sell the most (& Corolla) and can get the most commission on.
