Brz exhaust crackel on shift

Hi,

Im looking into getting a brz. Most likely going to get a manual but i was wondering if you can make the exhaust pop and crackel like a golf gti on shifts (with a automatic paddel shift brz). How do the speeds of the shifts compair?

Get a catless header. And sometime just the exhuast that you with makes it pop. But they have crackle and pops tunes from delicious tuning and also OTF. I remember my Mk6 Gti popped like crazy with just stage 2 Cobb, downpipe and magnaflow 3" catback.

Autos are slower than manuals.
A gutted e85 tuned fbo twin is faster than a turbo 91 tuned twin.
I am catless (manual) and mine will pop every once in a while.

You can get pops from oft and a YouTube video. There are a few guides out there how to customize the tune file to pop. Pretty easy actually.

Otherwise as you get exhaust and tune, etc you'll probably get some pops no matter what, but nothing crazy. I get pops sometimes with a turbo brz and I got them pre turbo too.

Get the oft and find the guide on how to make pops tune. Be warned you're adjusting fuel rates iirc and this can be bad as cool as pops are they aren't worth jacking up your car.

You are unlikely to be able to tune in a pop between shifts (in an automatic), but you can certainly tune in a pop when you left off the throttle.

Yeah I don't recommend this either. I don't mean to bash; at the end of the day you're gonna do what you want but my tuner (HRI) actually refuses to do this on his customer cars.

To add to the above, I suggest you look into why (what causes) the popping sound - then you may not want your engine doing that -

I'm auto, catless, on the V4 tune. I get a nice fart on up shifts and a thunderous shart shifting around 3K rpm.
