Sucks when you need a day off from your weekend.

I don't consider a closet a "room", because they're super small. But if I had a walk-in closest I would probably jerk off in it, so yes.

So, what do you plan on covering the walls with?

Yeah, me either..
Sheetrock is a godsend, compared to it's predecessor (lathe & plaster).

Mud & tape, prime & paint it. Debating to texturizing or not.

I'd recommend you texture it, which covers up a multitude if imperfections.

That's my step dad said as well... I like flat surface, but that require so many hrs of working on it to make it smooth flat surface.

Well, you can always start of trying to make it smooth, and then after several days and rolls of tape and several gallons of plaster and several hundreds of sheets of sandpaper, you can always texture it.

I was just kind of kidding about working with sheetrock. One of those wet-sanding sponge thingies makes very short work of getting things nice and smooth, followed by a coat of sheetrock primer before painting. The nice thing about doing sheetrock yourself is that you actually care.. so you can get invisible seams and screw divots that some guys "on the clock" seem to be willing to accept. Sheetrock has become THE wall material for a reason.

Yeah, we don't have any "time" need to finish it by... well hopefully by end of summer. But other than that, very minor remodeling this year.

Oh also need to put vinyl on 1st floor guest bathroom. This place came with carpet in the guest bathroom and imo that's gross. So I gonna be ripping that gross carpet and putting vinyl.

If I may suggest... look into vinyl plank flooring. My wife and I did a HUGE concrete basement floor with the stuff ourselves three years ago, and looks as good as the day we put it in after very heavy usage. It's waterproof, looks GREAT, and very very tough. German Shepherd-claw-proof tough. It would be great for a bathroom, especially if you're considering vinyl tile or sheet, much easier to install, and looks WAY better.

Next bathroom or kitchen floor I do, if it ain't ceramic tile, it's vinyl planking.
