have a customer that has a phase converter for some equipment they just had to have-- it's literally a motor that just 'runs' without actually being connected to anything. just converts a 2 wire connection to 3 wires. anyways, they went through the effort of laminating, collating, and bindering the entire phase converter manual. nicest user manual i've ever laid eyes on. so they could put it on the shelf and forget about it.

2 years later, it's running extremely hot, we get called for service. i pull the now-dusty manual off the shelf and show them the first line under 'maintenance' about how they're supposed to grease it through the attached fittings every 200 hours of use. of course, they try to make it our fault for not reading the manual to them...

no rush. i may not install it till next year. it's been at the end of a very long to-do list to order a replacement. i just tend to drive the car more in the dark, so don't notice it as much!

Well, the IRS is so overwhelmed by all the new tax forms for different covid this and that, and dealing with stimulus payments that tax deadline has been moved to May. I'm sure California will follow.

Oddly enough though, this year was the quickest ever turnaround for me on my refund (all $234 of it thanks to years of getting withholding down to the right number). It was less than 5 business days.

Same here. I'm still figuring out the right amount from my pension. Had way to much fed withheld. Got my refund in same 5 days. My Cal pension doesn't withhold for Idaho, and I forgot to make quarterly payments, so I just ended up giving my fed refund to the state. Reminds me, I have to print up the payment forms and make a payment.

I do this all the time too, then I wait 20 minutes and call back.

The move has gone fairly swimmingly so far. But I have a ways to go.

Definitely feeling the single-ness, since there are some areas I could really use a female's opinion on (I'm asking my parents and they've been helpful, but still).

Basically the closet that I think at one time was the linen closet is now the washer/dryer closet. I also have a coat closet in the entrance hallway, which is fairly spacious, and a large double-closet in the bedroom.

But neither have shelving for linens and I can't really build permanent shelving. So I'm having to look at many websites and some stores to get ideas on temporary shelving/storage options. So far I'm considering the "easy to build" stand-up shelves and putting those in my bedroom closet or maybe some kind of stackable containers/plastic shelving with pullout drawers.

And then besides that, I don't have a dining table set or TV stand/media console, so looking for those as well. But there's so many styles and stuff, makes it difficult to decide on something simple that doesn't break the bank.

Last week's similar stress was looking for and deciding on a bed and mattress.

Fun stuff.

By no means a female opinion (you already knew that ), but at one point, I built a freestanding closet that I got from Ikea. You can probably find a smaller one suitable for linens. The one I got was huge, bigger than some apartment closets.

You can also check out Wayfair for a variety of dining tables and/or media stands. You can filter by design type/genre too depending on the theme you want for your bachelor pad. lol

Oh, and since you're somewhat near Living Spaces, do not trust their mattresses. I bought my bed and mattress there based on how the display model felt. What I received was no where near it.
