At least $20k as a starting point for a professional to do the job. I will give you an example breakdown of bare minimum parts that you need that make up a large part of the total:

Engine/Trans, if you go V160, you're talking $8k
Custom Wiring Harness, starting at $800
Custom Driveshaft, at least $500 if you get it deal
Custom intercooler piping, WG, BOV $1000 +
Turbo Manifold $1500 and up for quality setups
Custom downpipe and dump tube $500+
Turbo $1000-25000 depending on what kind/size
Clutch, Flywheel, Custom Shifter- If you plan to make real power $1400+
Stand Alone Engine Management $2000
RacePack Dash $800
Custom hoses for radiator, heat, A/C, etc. $500+
Axles to support 600+hp
Rear end to support 600+

^ This puts you around $13k and we haven't even opened this used motor to build or do maintenance on anything. You're going to want cams, cam gears, valve springs, retainers, new water pump, new timing belt, new gaskets, at a MINIMUM before you put it in the car, there's another $1500 not including labor.

Now you're talking $15k in parts alone, now someone has to spend xx amount of days properly installing everything, clearencing everything, tuning, etc.

I don't mean to sound ignorant, arrogant, presumptuous, etc. But this is my 3rd engine/trans setup in this car and I can tell you from experience, its ALOT of work and ALOT of unexpected expenses that you come across as you do a swap. I wish I could tell you we do 2JZ swaps for $10k installed but I would be lying and giving you false hope.

*** Disclaimer: This is NOT an advertisement. None of the prices I have put above are in any way an actual price quote for any services/parts. I am simply using numbers for an explanation that people need to see to understand. Please don't delete this as an attempt to advertise, it is NOT.
Thanks for a quick summary of cost Iwas planning of doing this swap 3-5years down.
Seem like i'll just gotta pay off the car then do another 20k+ loan for the swap. A never ending payments
Also side note how much you spent on the ls2 swap?

Updated! Stay Tuned, Our Startup Goal is mid April, still waiting for a transmission!

Engine Is Nearly Complete! Just have to degree the cams and she's all set!

Meanwhile, the car is getting a massive face lift. Partially shaved bay and fixing all the small knicks and bumps.

but I don't remember EVER hearing anyone say that they could get a professional to install it for less than $20K...

Everyone who has said it can be done for less than $20K has talked about doing the work themselves with maybe some contracting out for fab work or buying a kit to do the install.

That being said, I love this build and I can understand selling the lsx if the price was right. Most things are for sale for the right price.

Updates!

Thanks to @spitfire481 the car is looking "Purer" than ever haha! It's so greeeeeen!

Wraps and great, plastidip is cheap, but there is no replacement for the hard work and art of a full paint job!

Starting to piece the bay back together for insertion, transmission is on it's way!
