It's not conflicting information. Gords Zenith didn't have a dead battery. He just roll started a working car to see if it would start. That's why I suggested he leave his lights on all night and try again, then report back to us on the result.

Ya, I tested that it could be jump started with a good battery, simulating a dead starter, as I misinterpreted what was being asked. but I'll try and find a way to simulate a completely dead battery and if your completely stranded.

Well when the battery is dead their is no indication that you are in the 'On' position. My battery was completely dead, literally nothing turned on. No door puddle lights or anything. I pressed the button and nothing happened in the car, we tried pushing it and dumping the clutch and it didn't even act like it wanted to start.
I hooked jumper cables up and after a minute, I was able to press the button in the car and everything lit up like normal. So I pushed the clutch and it started fine.

I suppose I could go outside and kill my battery on purpose and try it again for science. Who wants to invest in possibly paying for another Braille if it doesn't charge back up though?

lol
