Did anyone have any issues securing the clear side markers in? I installed mine weeks ago but yesterday decided to tug on them to see if they would come off easily, and they do. The clips were hard for me to re-insert. I'm going to mess with them again tomorrow morning.

I have the same issue as the previous two posters. Are we just not pushing the JDM marker in hard enough, or is this common amongst others?

I needed to try a few times to get them to click, I found having my head in the wheel well I was able to see better. It actually didn't take as much force as I expected when I got them right.

One complaint I have is they don't fit as flush as the USDM ones, they stick out a bit ... minor issue.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try this again once I get some LEDs to replace the bulbs first. Might as well wait until I get my replacement LEDs installed here before fully snapping these sidemarkers back in.

This really is one of the more tougher sidemarkers I've had to swap out given this clip design. It really shouldn't feel like you're about to crack the fender/side marker when pushing side markers back in. /rant

So, can anyone confirm if you can just replace the lenses instead of replacing the socket as well? Buying just the lenses saves almost $40. When replacing just the lenses, anyone know how to replace the lenses once the sockets are off the car?

For straight JDM, these are the cheapest you'll find:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...30&postcount=1

For BRZ STI side markers, RallySportDirect has them:
http://www.rallysportdirect.com/STI-...r-Side-Markers

For wedge bulbs:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...1&postcount=51

I have my STI side markers and wedge bulbs sitting in my passenger seat, prepared to install tonight, hopefully.

When trying to clip the new markers back in, get your head in the wheel well. Look for the little brass clip, use a hooking tool or a small flathead to pull The clip out towards you until you hear click. Similar for getting it out, push the bras clip in with a flathead.

JDM side markers

to the OP, thanks for the detailed writeup. and to confirm with the others on the drivers side, the top tab really needs to "click" in otherwise it pulls out very easily.
