Damage to front left wheel and lower control arm
Toyota 86 2012 GTS (front wheel damage) help
Recently hit a curb and rock under the front left hand side wheel of my 86, resulting in a fair bit of damage, i was wondering if anyone could assess these photos and let me know anything more than i do myself. Thank you. |

Are we looking at the passenger side: ie Right front? A minimum would be replacing the lower control arm, spindle, tie rod, sway bar link, and strut. Being a 2012, you would probably replace both fronts, if not all 4 struts. That's just the damage that's seen in the pictures. I can't tell if anything else is bent. To be honest, if you are asking these questions, you probably should take it to a shop.

It's hard to know if frame/crossmember is bent where the lca attaches. Someone experienced with suspensions may be able tell by looking at it in person. |

it really depends on if that curb/rock damaged anything else underneath the vehicle

With that type of damage and the possibility of bent tie rods, I'd probably take a look at the steering rack too to make sure it isn't damaged. The force of the impact may have been transmitted "down stream" past the tie rods into the rest of the steering system.
