@2forme I want to test the unit before installing. Is the best way to get an AC transformer (we have 240V AC here) to 12V DC converter and wire that up to the Head Unit. Then I can root it and check the apps work before pulling my dash apart. If this is the best option what output transformer do I need - 12V and what other specs?

I tested mine with a computer power supply before installing... It will have 12v (yellow) and 5v (red) wires all over it that you can use with some paper clips.

do you have any audio upgrades? Im still using the stock amp and speakers, and my unit makes all my music sound like ass. If youre still on stock, what EQ settings (in poweramp or stock EQ) did you find make it sound better?

Everything is still stock except the head unit in my car. I just used the built in EQ because I'm not an audiophile and I like simple Bass/Mid/Treble controls. So I press the Rock pre-set and lowered the bass a tad. Then I played with the loudness setting on the other page of the EQ app.

This radio sounds about as good as the stock unit to me. I can't tell much of a difference.

it sure seems like it to me. Im by no means an audiophile, but as soon as i hooked it up, i could hear a major difference. Enough to where my next mods will all be audio related now.

Oh bummer. I'll start looking out for an amp.. That might do the job.. Not an audiophile but if it's too below par it gets on te nerve

Gonna try an amp first myself. Im gonna play around with the EQ settings in various apps on the head unit and find what works best also. Time to do some research on what all the fancy sliders and numbers actually do!

Unpacked the T7019A just now. Looks good to my untrained eye.

Package had lots of bits and pieces in it. Photos below.

No user manual though so have emailed them and hope there's a pdf copy in english!

I figure it would be similar to the T7019A one and want to get a guy on installing it this week. Figure the manual might be some assistence.

You could install it. It literally clips into the stock harness LOL.

You will just need an antenna adapter, I believe.

You really don't need a manual. Mine came with one but it was for a CE based radio, no mention of Android at all. I did need the antenna adapter which I luckily already had.

Yours came with a nicer 3G stick than mine. I got an old school E220.
