Yeah a lot of kits are copies or pretty similar. I think this is going to be about the same. I don't performance will all that different but if you want the "name"...

You know, there are only so many ways you can route piping, and even less that are conducive to good response. The kit is said to put out what, 330ps? That's the same ballpark as every other basic kit on the market. Why? The FA20's fragile nature, that's why. Nothing new here except an HKS branded snail, because they're playing it safe just like everyone else.

Yeah, cause a stock internals 2 liter making 330ps with a 12.5 to 1 compression ratio is fragile....lol

I mean, it holds more power than I'd expect it would for high compression, sure, but plenty of people still blow their shit up. I personally just don't care because it's not a particularly expensive motor. Hell, even if the motor runs strong, the transmission will probably eat 4th gear at some point. You can delude yourself in whatever way makes you feel better, though. I accept the risk.

Sorry I'm late on this one but can you explain the 4th gear issue?

Any ideas if HKS would come out with a kit using the GTIII-4R... the GTIII-RS seems perfect for the Fa20 though. I wonder what the numbers would be with stock motors.

I'm curious how the reliability and performance will be with this kit. It's nice to see another option out there.

It is for sure exciting to see a turbo kit from HKS. But it would be much more exciting if this was happening three years ago and the design was a little different than currently available kits.
