TBH, I thought the factory snorkle was rounder in shape...didn't even think about HKS just cutting it though. Seems like they'd have some trick looking replacement for it..? (not that it's needed)

Not for that particular kit, and I don't think their his snorkel works in conjunction either. Not 100% sure on that one.

I have their snorkel on my car though and it does have a different clearance than stock.

Yup, I see it now. That is just a really clean cut/angle compared to what I have seen in the youtube videos. I wonder why they didn't incorporate their newer snorkel that works with the SC kit...it would clear that cold side pipe by even more than it does the SC piping.

This is their newer version on my car, it would definitely clear...the older version probably would not.

They made a newer snorkel? That looks pretty shoddy compared to the "old" version. That's a stock snorkel, cut, and opened up with a two liter bottle.

they claim it does better than the original due to better flow. Who knows, the stock one sucks, I think just about every agrees on that. But the difference between the two HKS versions and a modified stock one is probably negligible. *the newer HKS version is significantly cheaper too...but not as cheap as the essentially free modified OEM route

I was expecting they gonna do this one (which was put in D1GP HKS 86)... but instead they went other way.

Question for the turbo nerds.. do most of you have interest in a turbo build for the streets or for the track?

Just wondering.

Interesting question, I would say street all the way though. Only a small percentage of owners get on the track, but a high percentage of owners want more power. Plus, regularly tracking a car is seriously expensive, turbocharging a car jacks that cost up even higher.

I've always been a HKS fanboy so this might be at the top of the list when I decide to go turbo.
