Harness I just got a friend to do who had a BRZ before, they just did the resistor etc.

Not planning to swap, this will just garaged in the winter.

Got a beatsonic PlugNPlay amp installed on my car a little over a week ago. Seems to work well in my limited BRZ (I think there might be another video uploaded by beatsonic in the near future).

Huge difference in changes with clarity & overall more "oomph". I'm not an audiophile by any means, but found the oem system to be quite lackluster

lol. $300 and beatsonic can't even provide an install video, or decent specs...

they 'measured' current draw with no input signal... that's like bragging about horsepower at idle...

It's gotten too hot for me to want to do any track days, especially without any oil cooling. So I converted my car back to a more street setting for now. Street pads, set the Ohlins to a softer setting and threw on the stock wheels and tires. In about an hour I took the car from track ready to a great daily that eats up corners. I'm pretty thrilled with the results, though I do miss the Apex wheels.

I swapped out my OEM shift knob for Grimmspeed's stubby delrin knob.

Ergonomically I find it way better than OEM. For the way I hold on to the shifter, the shape is a lot more comfortable and it's a little larger in diameter to fit better in my hand. I will miss the softness of the leather, but the better shape and size makes up for it. It might actually sit a bit lower than the OEM knob as well, but I didn't think of measuring before putting on the new knob.

The knob weighs almost half that of the OEM knob. On our kitchen scale, the OEM weighed 197 grams whereas the Grimmspeed weighed 104. I was a little worried this would make the shift feel even notchy and less smooth, but I actually found it to be the opposite while running some errands this morning. Shifting was smoother and faster. Placebo? Maybe, but I'm liking it.

Aesthetically it looks good and blends in with the interior nicely. I would have preferred a more satin finish, but that's just nit-picking.

It's cause you can feel the synchros spinning up, helping you time the shift.

I love a stiff light knob, much better tactility.

This. All a heavier knob does is help you crash through the synchros.

Went and talked to the high-end audio shop here in town about scheduling to have to the OEM Audio+ setup installed. Hoping to have it done next month some time.

Then need to get the GR ducktail installed. Going to do a few other bits, APR CF Fender vents, lip, maybe some side skirts, and then it should basically be done.

Hit 1000mi on a straight away between uphill switchbacks on Guanella Pass, so used the top end for the first time while power sliding out of the next one. Nice to not need to hold the rpm below 5k during the drift. We did a Loveland Pass, Guanella Pass, Hoosier Pass Colorado loop. Pretty much straddling the Continental Divide the whole time, varying from 9-11,600ft. There was still plenty of power to have fun on Primacies.

Did you get them installed yet? Thoughts?

I notice both kits are short two speakers regardless of trim. What are your plans for the other two speakers?

It still seems strange to me hearing about people driving cars over Guanella Pass. I keep forgetting it's paved now. I grew up in Denver back in the 70's and 80's and that pass was a dirt road at the time. Parts of it could be driven in a car, but ground clearance was always a concern due to the rocks. My family only attempted it once and the old Impala station wagon took a real beating. The Aspen viewing in the fall was spectacular.
