Crazy idea... the Rear Seat info ?
I know many of the people probably wont ever
use their back seats... heck I rarely have people ride in my back seat as it is ... but at times I do need seating space for 4 .. and myself being Asian and most of my friends too I have a feeling I can fit people into the back seats of this 2+2 sports car ... but the question is .. HOW much room will there be left... So if anyone here can help post a picture of ... who knows a 6 feet tall average size fellow from the Good-o-US-of-A ... then I will have a reassuring feeling that I won't have anything to worry about.

You have to view this car as a 2 seater only even though it has rear seats. Otherwise you will be disappointed.

yeah, iŽd love to see a picture with a person sitting in the back to get a impression! Its the same for me, sometimes its good to have 4 seats, just for a short trip. Thats why i wont buy the z4 coupe or 370z
From pictures i think its got more room than the audi tt, i think you can compare it to the celica t23, so "normal" people have to keep their head in a non-comfortable position

If both the front pessengers are 6' with long legs (ie extend their seats further back) there could be less or no leg room for the back seat. However, the drawing at the service manual indicates that you could fit 4 people when you position the seats properly.
That said, the size of this car is quite similar to the last gen of celica (2000+). So the back seats should be functional. |

We have been wondering for a while. Next week I'll be at the show, and if someone hasn't already posted a picture Saturday morning, I'll hop in the back seat, and post a picture from my iPhone that morning.
I'm 6'1" btw. |

gauging from the pix from TAS, both BRZ and FRS have very little room the in the rear. So regardless of your size, it will be very uncomfortable trying to sit in the back for long drives. I highly suspect the rear seats were implemented for insurance purposes..

In 1995 when I had the eclipse GST I had no problem carrying friends in the backseat. I don't think FRS will be smaller than the 1995 Eclipse.

"Car" magazine from Britain suggested the back seat was for double amputees only.

Your statement would be true if both cars in comparison have the same wheel base then the fwd could have more room for interior. However, I don't think the cars mentioned here have the same wheel space so your point is not valid here. |

I suspect it will be about as functional as teh back seat in a 240SX, fine for 2 children, or one adult turned sideways
