so there's absolutely no going back? I guess if you bought a new bumper you could reverse this, right? Looks great, definitely thinking about doing it to mine.

Oh yeah, you can always replace it. But it's one solid piece, so once you saw it off, it's done. You could always zip tie-stitch it back if you wanted, but as far as making it look untouched... nope.
I think a new bumper cover is about $300-350, and then it would have to be painted. So it would definitely be less than $1,000 to totally undo it. Probably about $600, I'm guessing. I don't really know paint prices.

Rear crossmember brace.
Explaining it any more clearly is beyond my abilities. Yes. See post #2 in my build thread.

It's an easy fix using the stock reverse lights temporarily until something more permanent is decided on. Aluminum angle piece drilled for the top mounting holes in the reverse light and the two center hole locations on the rear of the stock muffler heat shield location and....walla...street legal. Cable tie harness to bumper beam and other areas as needed and done.
Mine, until I finalize the setup (touch up trim the plastic on the rear bumper [I wasn't sure if I wanted to make a cover or not for the bumper beam so left the extra material in case], rework rear bumper beam to trim off the lower flange and spot weld flush, rework exhaust to center exit and tucked up higher for diffusor clearance, go with an LED back up light solution, and make easily removable for maintenance yet fully functional custom diffusor system): My asphalt without its parachute and with interim solution reverse lights... Aero does seem better than with the factory "diffusor" section on there - seems better at higher speeds. Slims up the rear and will look even better once everything is all reworked and diffusor is in place.

Yeah, that's probably exactly what I would have done if street legality was a concern for me.

The rocket bunny v1 kit came with a piece that replaced the part you cut off. How do you attach that back. I want to do this, but only if I can reverse it.

There's no going back, unless you count replacing your bumper cover. I think it's only like $300 though.
