Racecomp Engineering Tarmac 2 coilovers. $1,500

These are in very good condition and have about 24,000 miles on them. I have been using them with RCE street camber plates, but they are also compatible with OEM tophats.
One of the rear shafts is slightly shorter than the other. It was damaged and professionally repaired/machined. This has absolutely zero impact on performance and has caused me no problems. There is one small downside to this, though: when adjusting the rear shocks one needs to use an allen wrench instead of the supplied knob, as it takes a little more reach than what the knob provides. I've been using them like this for a while without issue, but want to ensure whoever ends up with these has a good buying experience and there are no surprises.
$1,500 plus shipping from Denver (80126).

That's what I thought. I'm a bit surprised I still have them.

What spring rates are these (400/400, 500/500 or 600/600)? Can you explain more about the repaired damper?

The springs are the standard 400 at all four corners. The repaired damper was damaged during initial installation. It was over-torqued and damaged about six threads up the threaded section. It was professionally repaired and has not been a problem since.

Thanks for the info and explanation.

Trying to figure out how the "shortened" damper effects things........

Zooming in to the photo you can see the height difference. Trying to wrap my head around what that would do "in the car"....??? My original thought is changes the overall stroke (compression and rebound), changes the stack height and changes the helper spring height? Not a suspension guru, but seriously considering these and just running everything out.

Thoughts?

The damper is the same length. The stud is shorter. That’s all. The coil overs work great. I sold them to Pat and did the fix. It’s solid.
