Anyone have Atoto A6 Bluetooth working?

I just installed an Atoto A6 Android head unit in my BRZ. It’s a nice unit, but I can’t get the Bluetooth to work with either the PLX Kiwi 3 ODB adapter or the Sky Pro xgps160 10 Hz GPS. Has anyone gotten this to work?

The Kiwi 3 pairs, but none of the apps I tried can read from it, and it doesn’t even see the xgps160. Both devices are alleged to work with Android.

How are you liking this head unit? And how was the install? I'm thinking of purchasing the same one. I have the same GPS Unit i use with solostrom. But wasn't planning on using solostorm with this unit because none of the headunits i've found come with an accelerometer.

Which Bluetooth on the head unit are you paring with? The A6 has two one that only does sound like phone and music and one that is intended for data. The data one is "bluetooth 2" and I think you have to go into settings to pair it.

I just installed it this week and frankly for the price I am really impressed. To preface though I don't high the sky high expectations for a head unit that people that review them on the internet seem to. I mainly wanted it to run Waze and Spotify in the dash and be able to still make calls on it. So far it is doing all that and everything else is just a bonus in my eyes.

What really sold it was the Toyota specific model that fit my dash. I have a 2013 BRZ and I added the 1 piece dash when I installed. All I had to do was pop the plastic frame off the 1 piece dash and it fits flush. No ugly brackets! It also came with a plug and play harness that worked 90% out of the box. To get it to work 100% I had to connect the blue and white wire on the HU's harness to the brown wire located at pin 9 in my car's 10 pin connector. (That last bit is for anyone one who found this via the search function because their door speakers wouldn't work after install, I searched for a while to get clear info on that)

Is it the snappiest head unit? No but its way better than stock. Does it have amazing sound? To me it sounds great, better than stock but if you are doing a real audio build you probably have different standards than I do. All and all I'd say at $259 for the 2gb model its a great buy.

It is going to be tight but it might, I believe the opening on the stock trim piece is 200mm wide and Atoto lists this head unit as 205mm wide. Being that the one piece dash is a leather-ish material it has a but more give to it than the plastic. However I think maybe with a little sanding or dremeling you can get an extra 2.5mm on each side.

Mine fit fine once the brackets were mounted in the correct locations. The Atoto A6 is 205mm wide at the widest spot, but were the corners are rounded and it meets the face plate it is 200mm x 100mm.

I posted a picture in this thread:

I have this head unit and if youre looking for any good sounding HU this is not the way to go. the bass is way too punchy and it sounds very distorted at high volumes. Personally i never use any of the features you would want to buy this head unit for. the GPS app is so laggy you might as well just use your phone. If you dont have a phone with hotspot you lose every single feature this head unit has to offer. all i can say is for the 200$ i paid i use about 50$ worth of its features.
