Lightweight Crank Pulley (Kind of afraid to install it. Worried the motor will not be balanced with it.) What are your thoughts of aftermarket crank pulleys?

[/QUOTE]

It's been discussed many times, zero issues.

In the rotary world, our engines are externally balanced. A crank pulley would probably make a difference in that case, but whether or not the butt dyno would see the difference is questionable.

Haven't seen any schematics for this motor (reminds me I need to download the FSM), but I'm assuming it's internally balanced, meaning the crank pulley would probably not make a difference to balancing.

Isn't one of the negatives that the engine RPM drops much more rapidly as soon as you take your foot off of the gas because of the lower weight/rotational inertia?

I meant if I was on the highway or coming to a redlight/stop sign, sometimes I like to cruise in gear for a few seconds before braking or changing gears. Can you still cruise with the lighter pulley or does it feel like very heavy engine breaking?

...

In leyman's terms, no, it won't create heavier engine braking...

LEXI had her first ding today. I backed up into my parking spot and tapped the wall.

Freaked out for about 30s, went to home depot and bought some plastidip and painting her up. Good as new.

then proceeded to babyproof my parking spot immediately.
