I'd estimate 1-2 weeks. Nothing is stopping us from supporting 6at now. We just wanted to get the 6mt rolling forward smoothly first. Which seems to be the case based upon feedback today

No Openflash tune, stock or otherwise, contains any license code. Nor do they restrict read/write functions. So it should be diagnostically invisible on all levels. Especially if you flash back in your original file which is stock, byte for byte.

It takes a drive cycle or two for the pedal resoponse off idle to come back to pre flash conditions. This is due to the drive by wire system re learning the closed and open throttle position values.

That makes sense. The original is identical and the modified tune would only be visible by comparing the altered settings to stock. I wouldn't even bother going back to stock for a service but I would for certain warranty issues.

So unless there's a flash counter it's very stealthy.

Guys, when you flash the car put it into accessory mode before starting it up and push the accelerator pedal 10 times fully to the floor. It will clear the dead pedal as you calibrate it there and then. This can be done any time when the car is running or in accessory mode but if you do it before you fire up the car it saves you some time.
@shiv@vishnu & @Rombinhood@OpenFlash it may be worth putting this in your instruction. I have done this many times and always works.

Alright, just got my ECU read and downloaded to my laptop.. A few concerns:

- Everything is running stupid slow. The laptop is a core i7 with 8gb of ram. When I click on the "Download data" tab it sits there reading for a good 5 minutes. When I click on "Upload data" it sits there doing whatever it's doing (what is it doing?) for 5 minutes. If I do these things along with Shiv's getting started video, the video finishes playing at each step while I wait.

- After downloading my stock map, the information window is pretty much empty. No ECU HW, ECU SW, CAL, VIN, etc.

- I went through the stage 1 maps and each failed the CRC check until ZA1JA01C. I'm assuming that's my calid but I'm not ready to flash it since I can't confirm.

Your laptop is way faster than mine and I had no issue. My upload/download took about as long as the video. Could be a driver issue? Also, when you click upload and let it sit for a second it displays your cal ID. Shiv explains this in the video. There is a safety built in so you can't upload a flash with the wrong cal Id.

Try restarting your computer after you instal the programs.

Best of luck

I just erased all the data on the tablet, went out and read the ECU again. Now it's showing me a calid and VIN. I think the tablet updated the first time I plugged it in to the computer. Whatever it was, it seems to be working correctly now.

I guess you had also tried it with ECUtek? Also, does it need to be in ACC mode or can it also be in the ON position?

might be a good idea to install the OpenFlash Manager application on your computer and connect the tablet so it can check for updates before you plug it into the car for the first time to read your rom.
