Exactly. No one was hurt. And a car is just a car and easily replaced.

I know in my area that legally the shop could be held responsible. We had to hunt around for insurance just to make sure the extra parts installed are covered just in case. Things can happen, and that is what insurance is for. With not knowing who did what installs though makes the placement of fault hard as a reader. If all parts were installed by a shop and it comes down to improper install caused the issue the shop should be at fault. If it comes down to the wrong size hose and improper clamping system for that hose causing the leak then the manufacture should be at fault (with that said the shop should have known better then to install it if it was not engineered properly).

That's what counts. It's the risk we take playing this game, and insurance covered it. That's about as close to a win as this scenario can be. :\

I'm not the type to slander but I knew from the first day I joined this forum and saw his name that it was only a matter of time.

Sorry for your loss man! I wish you the best of luck @brzturbo keep your head up.
I remember reading this months ago, when I was researching which vendor to use for tuning.

In my opinion, a link to this thread should be posted on every one of his threads. Too many of his followers will never read this thread. No way would I ever trust JV with my stuff.

REAL tuners have insurance that would cover this, My tuner carries insurance that covers anything he drives, specifically allowing for catastrophes like this.
@Toma WTF are you talking about?

customer didn't get the car back the "tuner" burnt it to the ground, when was he supposed to check the quality of their work,

maybe you need to review the def. of the term professional, that's what JV proclaims to be...

When you install yor own mods you are taking those risks into your own hands, when you research online and find a reputable "professional" tuner to install your mods you give them significant money to assure those risks are mitigated...not to have your car gutted by fire due to negligence and incompetence.

Wow, just wow!

First, I'm glad nobody was hurt in all this. Second, I hope that you're somehow restored by somebody's insurance. Please keep us posted of the results.

Sorry for your loss

I don't want to jack your threat but I my self has an issue with.

The flex fuel kit I ordered took to long and past the date I was promised. I wasnt pleased and asked @Sportsguy83 for some guidance and ended up getting a dispute filed and thankfully i didnt get any product . Now every time I read some issue with Visconti I smile and thank god that I was really lucky.

I can see where Visconti's casual responses about it are a bit off-putting---and the timing certainly does not bode well---but before we all gather our pitchforks, let's wait for official proof to be posted. The investigation is ongoing. Righteous indignation is understandable, but let's make sure we have all the facts straight before we start to point fingers and slander a long-standing vendor.

I hope this doesn't offend anyone. Truly sorry again for your misfortune brzturbo. :\ I hope everything works out in your favor in the end.
regardless of him being guilty or not, the guy is a douche and you can find proof of that all over this forum.

I bought a fire extinguisher last week. When you mess with the stock fuel system you are running a huge risk. Better to have some protection in the car in case shit hits the fan. Small fuel leak + hot engine parts =
