Maybe the FR-S owners who said "No" are thinking of buying BRZ next. If my FR-S gets totaled and I need to buy another car now, I would buy BRZ Limited.

An astute observation my good sir

There is a reason I sold my old 97 RHD Prelude.. It had big quirky issues (dash going dead randomly while driving was fun) but even with all of its problems I still miss it immensely.

I would buy one with more power again.

As it sits now, i often wonder if I should have bought another z06..... i wanted to do something different but the only thing that would really improve the car is about twice the horsepower.

That is probably more nostalgia then it was a great car. Our memories can mess with us sometimes.

They really can't make up their mind since the last survey placed the cars on the Best Buy list.
I have no idea where their data came from for this survey though.

I would definitely not buy again. Great car but the quality issues kill it for me. I'm still going to drive it till the wheels fall off though.

I'm very happy with my 2015 FRS...bought because it's cheaper than a used Lotus Elise, and way cheaper than a Porsche Cayman. I wanted the most fun to drive, yet affordable car.

I'll gladly trade when they come out with an FRS in British Racing Green.

and from radroach:"If I had more money I would own several FR-S and BRZ's."

My reply to that: I'm considering selling my 2005 Mustang GT, replacing it with an FRS or BRZ in a different color than my current FRS.
Funny thing, I saw two Lotus Elise today and looked up the pricing on them while going home from work. Was considering them but the MSRP on new AND old just kills it for me.

Also saw the "New" Lexus RC200t F-Sport and it's not bad either. The new Mustang's are looking great as well.

Pretty much what's holding me back. The QC issues. I know they gotta keep costs down but the interior still feels cheap to me. The paint and inter panels scratch so easily. Plastic everywhere and the little noises of clicks.

I'm also plagued with the front bumper issue not lining up correctly when you take it off.

I love my car to death, but the little issues at the back of my mind are still there.

Wouldn't buy another FR-S and maybe even another Toyota for one single reason:

My experience with the service department has been HELL. I've been trying to get my TCM issues fixed, but they refuse to do any further work after replacing my ECU, which clearly didn't fix things for me. I'd go to another dealership, but then I'm spending over an hour in driving time and my time=money.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good car for what it is, but, I also don't like driving it as much as I used to, because I'm "dealing" with a problem, rather than just solving it in 20 fucking minutes with TechStream.

My next car will likely be a fast sedan, or maybe a Cayman. But the thing is that I'm at a cross roads of fun vs practicality, and I seem to fall right in the middle every time I seriously evaluate things.

If I could buy one again would I? Well.... I'd like to buy a used corolla for more storage, but yeah, I'd buy another as a secondary/ daily/ weekend car.
