Thanks, I'll see what my welder says about it.

He also suggested welding a v-band on it and fab a custom stainless pipe to the airbox. But I think that's gonna be quite pricey and too much trouble.

Where is your vacuum at when idling. Mine use to range in 19, and now it's around 20. Could it be Because of the bypass valve I installed
Also, what afr is everyone seeing in wot and about 70-80% throttle?

Firstly are you running an aftermarket wideband sensor and gauge? They would normally give more accurate readings than the stock sensor. And a reading taken on the dyno using the tailpipe probe will be slightly different again.

So basically someone's AFR reading using a proper wideband may differ from yours if you're on a stock sensor....and any comparisons would have to be taken with a grain of salt.

I've been using the android torque. My afr is 14.65-14.7 during idle. And during wot it is around the 12s so idk.

One issue I've had with the pipe from the airbox to the turbo is it is very picky about placement. I have the Perrin intake and it wants to push the pipe into the pulleys. I've got it pulled towards the front of the car with zip ties for the moment.

I would love to see an option or fab for metal piping instead of the silicon right there in the bay. Or at least a bead on the turbo to help keep that pipe on.

Wonder how much that would cost to fab.

The coolant hoses are a 5/16" (ID) hose. The hoses shipped with the kit are around 9/16" OD.

So what's your status? Are you still gathering "intelligence" or installing the parts?

Kit should arrive soon, but won't have time to install till mid December when I get some time off work.

So at this stage I'm trying to gather as much intel on various install tips/tricks and just trying to learn from other peoples experiences.

@protpibe; did you have any issues with exhaust fumes getting into the passenger cabin? I'm not hearing an exhaust leak (or at least I think I don't) but I'm growing tired of smelling non-catalyzed exhaust in the passenger compartment.

I'm suspecting this flange to flange seam. I'm going to put the car in the air soon

I got an AVO oil cooler

I've had the AVO stage 1 for a year with oil temp up to 240F and water temp up to 200F. After the oil cooler, oil temp up to 200 and water temp up to 195.

I got the anti tramp differential bushing. Power seems to be more instantaneous. Guess it works and it was easy to install.

Do you still have a catted front pipe?

You might want to try squirting some soapy water (dishwashing liquid works best) onto the flanges and see if they bubble.

Actually, I did. As long as that flange isn't sealed 100%, you'll smell it.

LIke someone else suggested, spray some soapy water on the flange seam. Make sure you do it when the car is cold, and have someone assist you because you won't have much time. Once it's hot/warm, it will just evaporate.
