Of course he didn't. Most dealerships don't even know the vehicle is a Subaru. Never ask a salesman questions about a car, they can show you things though.

The majority of salesmen I've dealt with usually tell me within the first 3 minutes that they just started selling this brand of cars a few weeks earlier. That line is very common and probably true.

Spoke to my dealer about the DRL's today as well and they also told me it couldn't be done. My VIN is high enough plus I have had the ECU replaced due to the CEL/Misfire issue. So I printed the TSB and will be taking it with me next time I visit them.

I want Horn for door locks and I want DRL's turned off. I may also ask for the Headlight delay thing.

I have the cable and software to turn your DRL's off and turn on/off the door lock horn. yo can buy it off ebay for about $30.

can you disable the tpms with this cable as well?

brz doesn't have tpms light so you must be able to disable in ecu

I have not tried it but have read people have been able to do it.

Anyone have serious issues getting this done? My car has been at the dealer since Tuesday, the first day they didn't know what they were doing evidently and now they say its stuck in park somehow. It seems like I need to find a better service dept.

but do the dlrs go off and on when someone tries to ebrake slide before tsb delete? that would get annoying but could help from an instruction stand point...curious

Yes, they go off and on on ebrake engage even if the car is moving. But this is only for the FRS, the BRZ has no DRL delete.

I want Horn for door locks and I want DRL's turned off.

The horn toggle is easy if you have the KARR alarm. There's an immobilizer chip above your knees on the bottom of the dash panel. Has a blue LED and a button on it.

Key in ignition - on position - off position - press the button 3 times. Horn will honk twice quickly confirming the switch.
