My main goal is to start baking breads, Sourdough specifically, and some baguette.
Pasta roller is awesome. But I never use a mixer for sourdough - that's one of the lowest effort recipes I bake, though it's an all day affair. Plenty of other breads though, both yeasted and bicarb based. One of those tools you can do without but it sure is nice to have.

When I rode regularly, I used to ride in the rain all the time, but I concede your point.

Almost got washed of the side of a mountain once in the rain. Going from DC to Lexington, KY on backroads through the Appalachians. Heavy rain running sideways off the mountain and the bike decided to follow it. Fortunately was able to stop before I had to make a choice of abandoning ship or following it over the side.

Same here. No mixer for baguettes. Mixer develops too fine a crumb.

When you trailer your bikes all the way from Ontario to Georgia you ride regardless of the weather. One late September we ran into a huge storm with 50+ mph winds and sideways sleet while riding up Wolf Pen Gap (two up). We were at least an hour late and soaked to the bone getting to the old T.W.O camp at Suches. There where about 25 bikes in our group. I left the wife drying by the fire and road back to Hiawassee where our rally's HQ was located. I had a quick, hot shower and got into some warm, dry clothes. Then I drove back up to Suches with a change of clothes for the wife. Oh, we've had some interesting adventures while riding. Some day I'll tell y'all about our ride back from the Mugello MotoGP in 2005.

I ride because I enjoy riding. I don't care to ride in the rain or any other type of weather. Never have.

Before too long I am going to be able to whistle through my pinky nail.

The rain hasn't really ever bothered me other than the visor fogging up. I don't do long cruises like some of you but, I'll take warm and rain any day over cold and dry.

Then later on they were never a consideration due to the powerplant and the design's limitations not being high enough... now that prices have moon'd I find myself coming back full circle. I feel like I got a good deal ('96 clean title with 78k miles for 70k+ tax, fees and whatever shipping ends up being.)

I am a bit worried about an accident it was in back in 2001. Car fax had it listed as moderate damage. It reads like it was simply a quarter panel (they bolt on) replacement with bumper and door blending. The wheel was reused so I cannot imagine any of the suspension being hit. I cannot find anything in the pictures I'm going off of from the seller's records that show any signs structural/suspension damage. He wasn't the owner at the time of the accident, going on a bit on good faith since I cannot inspect it in person. The repair has held up for 20 years which should say something. Just feels off buying something with a previous hit... but, I'm not willing to hang with the 100k-200k+ crowd for the car. I also have no desire to leave anything stock. I do think trying to bench mark a current car would be a fun goal.

now i have a yamaha r6 and a truck. and i dont know where a sports car fits into this equation. i feel like i dont have a need for it anymore. dad always told me growing up "dylan, you need a truck and two motorcycles" hahaha

obviously i love the frs/brz, you don't have to convince me its a great car, just not really sure that box it checks anymore that the truck & bike don't already
I ran into this last summer when I got back into bikes... and every time I buy another sports car. I don't have an answer but, I will say this. Once you only have a bike and a truck. You'll want another car.

Also judging by your sig, a bike won't scratch the mod itch like the car can. with my bikes it takes me a couple weeks to finish putting on the mods. Then it's enjoyment, rarely does it become continuous evolution like a my cars.

you hit the nail on the head

to me mods arent just to make your car perform better. I think there are 3 phases of the mod itch first you got your research phase. thats when you get the itch for the next thing you want to install, you look at products, watch install vids, see what other people are using etc.
phase 2 is the install. i love turning wrenches. and things rarely go on as easy as theyre supposed to so theres always a little troubleshooting between me and my old man in the shed. we have a strong strong bond built over many years doing stupid things together. "The problem is not the problem- the problem is your reaction to the problem", so when a bolt snaps we figure out how to move forward and theres no throwing wrenches or anything like that
phase 3 is enjoying what youve put in and driving /riding around with the new parts and forming an impression of them. getting to enjoy them on your ride.
I cant say which phase i like more, each is very exciting.

if a new bike landed in your garage what are some of the things you think about putting on first?

I've seen a couple 90's NSX's in my area. Most look so nice, very eye-catching. I'd say just below the FD in terms of 90's timeless design.

The FD is still my favorite looking car of that era but I don't want anything to do with owning a rotary.

NSX is still my favorite all around. I have seen this car a couple times in person. Both times it set the overall fastest time of the day beating out the unlimited cars even though it is a "street class" car.

LOL I had to look up what a NSX even looks like! I had not even a single clue.
