Exclamation Does ANYONE from openflash.com visit these forums? need help!!

Ive been trying to handle this discreetly but it hasn't worked so here we go.

9/14/22

I purchased the custom E-tuning service.

9/20
I received an email from Shiv Pathak containing my base map.

The map he sent wasn't the correct one and was not compatible with my ECU,

By looking at the name though I quickly figured out what he was trying to send me was the OTS map that closest matched my mods (E85, full exhaust no cats etc) .

Fortunately I was already running that map so I was able to proceed, I sent him and email explaining the above.

I sent the requested idle and cruise logs the same day.

10/4

I get email stating that Idle and cruise looks fine, and a request for 2-3 full throttle pulls in 3rd gear from 2000-7500 rpm.

10/5

I send in the requested logs.

11/3

No response to the logs that were sent in, in the interim I have sent multiple emails to Shiv Pathak and opened another ticket with the open flash support, I have not received any sort of reply from either, or anyone else, my most recent attempt was on 10/28.

If anybody can help me out or give me some ideas I would love to hear them.

At this point I would just like a refund, I never recieved anything and at this point I have lost all faith in Shiv Pathak, assuming he still works there.

I will continue to update this tread as the situation develops.

You bought into a dead end platform, sorry bud. Hope you get some sort of resolution. May want to consider a charge back. ECUTEK is pricier, but is the way to go and you'd have multiple options re. tuning (delicious, CSG, and I have personally had a great experience with @Xero-Limit)

Redacted

I also reached out to Mark Vaughn of auto week regarding contacting him, as well as enlisted the advice of my attorney who will soon be taking over all correspondence (or lack there of) between me and Him/the company.

I know it seems much a do over not much money but I don't tolerate shit like this.

Update:

Shiv was in a pretty severe motorcycle accident. I have seen the pictures and video to verify this. I spoke with him a bit just now and he will be back working on this stuff starting next week.

That is not really true. OFT was never really well supported outside of Openflash themselves and a handful of guys willing to e-tune. It is cumbersome to dyno tune with since you can't change things live. It's about as dead/alive as it ever has been. DIY'ers are still pretty active with OFT and tactrix.

I advise requesting a refund and holding on until Shiv can take you on as a client.

In the meantime, go through another OFT tuner, I just got a tune done by Steve Wiseman in less than 24 hours.

Great communication and response times.

Did he ever really support it that well? Even 5 years ago it took me weeks to get answers from him. I can message a number of people right now and have a new tune before this weekend.

He never had decent support, the platform itself is just flash and go and run it. Not really helpful outside of an NA basic modded car
