Custom Intake and Turbo Set-ups
New to the forum so excuse me if im in the wrong section, just wanted to see what people are running for custom set-ups seeming as how there are very few selections of turbo and intake set ups for the frs/brz...of that I can or should I say cant find.
Was wondering if anyone has used the Perrin CAI set up but extended the intake pipe across the bumper support mount and down to the more direct air flow throw the lower part of the grill by using a 90' or custom welded intake pipe followed by either a cone or flute? I know it would seem to be a bit of work for just a CAI but thought it would look pretty cool and increase the air flow by a bunch...or maybe im just "out to lunch". Kind of like an inverted snorkel. Not looking for trolls just educated "technicians". Ive seen a few vids on the frs/brs air induction and a lot of people are saying how even with the air box surrounding it only decreases heat by approx. 16% or so... Thanks for the replies in advance!! |

If you go for forced induction, be it turbo or supercharger, i'd probably wouldn't spend a dime on any intake/exhaust upgrades. Even without them FI gives more then enough extra oumph. You can simply increase PSI to compensate whatever more free flowing other intake/exhaust parts will bring. Better spend that $$$ on upgraded clutch/brakes and track instructor.

That is more or less what I am going to do is just hold off until the turbo kit comes available to Canada. some many bullshit regulations with aftermarket parts in bc feels like cali. plus im not to sure if theres a Canadian company that is making a set up.....and as for the 25 turbo set ups; which one would you suggest? Apparently I have been living under a rock and my google game aint that right. haha. thanks for the input guys
