What is interesting was when I was busy filling up the tires with air, before leaving the house, the gauge rose to around 1/2. To the dealership it goes.

Think I'll take the car to an HPDE event next year. The "intro to tracking" event few weeks back was fun but there was very much left to be desired.

(If they do void my warranty, guess I'll check the floater myself)

Pretty hardtop prove a track event screwed up a fuel gauge.

Some dealers suck. My dealer refused to perform a TSB because I had springs, wheels and a catback. That was a fun 8 months spent fighting with Toyota.

Welp, soulreapersteve, you may wish to give the old redneck fix a try.

Remove the spare tire and pound on the top of the gas tank with a rubber mallet real hard, maybe the float is stuck .......

Fuel tank is under the rear seats. Access panel to fuel pump is underneath the driver's side.

I'm not a fan of the golden tap. Reason being even if the issue is resolved, it likely will only be temporary as the underlying cause still exists.

Do you have OFT or a OBD II reader? could help confirm its the floater if that is reading wrong too

Well, I'll be damned ...... ol humfrz stands corrected (again) by ol @Ultramaroon (again) ......

Sorry about the bad lead there @soulreapersteve ...... however, if you are already back there, you might as well check the air pressure on the spare tire ....

Now, about the "golden tap" ....... I never said how many times you have to repeat it ........
