Here are some hints.

All doors (new) are "square".

All door frames (old and new) are NOT square.

So, either make the door frame square (very difficult) OR …… you guessed it ..

*shrug*
Wow! Pilot misidentified himself as he incorrectly confirmed clearance to cross the runway.

Edit: no, different flights. Delta 300 pilot clearly confirms instruction to hold short of runway. He fucked up.

OK, so you don't want to contract with Bubba's cousin to hang the doors for you? That's OK, he said he was awful busy anyway, reinstalling chicken house doors, since that big wind blew through the other day.

I know a retired guy that used to be a machinist! A family friends grandmother needed her screen door swapped out-she already had the new one. Same size/model even.

As he was replacing it, he said the frame looked a little out of square. I beleive he said it was about 5/16" off(there's a machinist joke in there somewhere). He stripped it down to the framed opening and planed the opening straight.

So now she has a new door frame, entry door, and screen door that can be used to certify laser levels...

It took him 5 weeks.

They conveniently left out the delta 300 audio...

Every once in a while, i start thinking about putting a tv antenna up to get the free local stations. And then i see news clips and remember that I'm not missing anything that justifies the little amount of work it would take.

Yeah it's a seemingly simple job in general, but there really isn't much room for error. I would be interested to hear the cockpit voice recorder on the exchange between the pilots inside their airplane. Usually even after reading back the instruction to the controller the pilot taxiing will say to the pilot not taxiing (who is probably the one on the radio) the instruction and the other pilot will confirm it as well. It should be like quadruple redundant. The ATC instruction, the read back from the pilot not taxiing, the briefing from the pilot taxiing to the pilot not taxiing and his confirmation of it, not to mention an airport like JFK has flashing red lights that warn you not to cross as well...

(Unless the controller did clear them to cross..) Although if they read back the wrong thing the controller should have caught that too..
