Dash speakers?

Anyone have a review of dash speaker replacements??

I replaced the door speakers with Image Dynamics, and it cleared up the low end a lot. But the mid/high is definitely not as clear as I know it could be.

I've been searching to hear from folks who have replaced them, and don't see much.

If you've made a swap, I'd love to hear about how it sounds now and what you did, especially with the stock audio head unit (I have the BRZ nav system as it turns out).

Thanks in advance,

Steve

I installed Hertz Energy 3 - way components with their tweeter and mid in the dash in my personal car. Fits fine but does reflect a good amount on the windshield. Not too bad though considering it looks stock and is a full 3 way component.

How does the sound compare to the original dash drivers?

Is it Hertz HSK-163 or ESK-163? I was looking into ESK-163 but wasn't sure it would fit without any mod.

Yes the ESK-163 fit w/o any mods. I put them in my BRZ a couple of weeks ago and they sound great (amped with a JL 700/5). You will need spacers for the doors though.

Thanks for confirming that. I got the same speakers also to but haven't installed it yet.

They were the ESK but the HSK will fit as well. I should grab a set of Mille's as well and see if they fit. If anyone needs Hertz/Audison or Morel let me know as I am a dealer.

Is there a wiring harness that mates properly to the OEM wiring in the dash without cutting any wires?
