Rat rod would be OK.
I want to do it newish stock though since I will use it on a diorama with a 1/32 WW2 plane.
Thinking to use with these figures and aircraft.

Just make it detailed like how you make your planes. Don't need to worry about super glossy paint, since cars back then weren't clear coated, right?

Yep. Just red enamel. The thing is that it is literally a sort of car shaped lump of plastic so I will have to get really creative to even come close to looking real.

You have the skills. I'm sure it'll turn out really good. You have money left over in the budget for styrene sheets and putty. Haha

Good thing I didn't chop up the suspension like I planned on doing to lower it a mm or two.

This is dry fitting the front suspension using just tape, and just one wheel/tire combo (not the ones included in the kit). I think I'll leave it as is since this is about where I wanted it to be. I assumed based off the built pics on vendors sites with the wheels and tires that were supposed to be used, I would have had to lower it.

Pretty much. It is the same place where several told me that making a convincing crashed airplane was impossible. They will spend a fortune on photoetch and resin detail sets because the kit has a gauge that is a scale half inch out of position on a instrument panel. Most of them also make spotlessly clean aircraft and even tanks. I have never seen a spotlessly clean tank.
every tank is spotlessly clean once.

when it leaves the assembly line.

Well now we have some door cards and since in for a penny in for a pound I decided too open up the drivers door.

The carpeting in these was either a heavy textured vinyl or a very low pile carpet depending on the options. I went with the low pile carpet. The brown sections were textured using a heavy coat of TET and the stippled with an old stiff brush. hey are brown so they will be a different tone when I spray the interior beige

And here we have the "Realistic rubber tires and hubcaps as proudly proclaimed on the Amazon site! Well worth their price of $78.00.

These have t be painted black, white, body colour and two chromes. Not real sure how I will pull that off yet.

Wasn't as much orange peel this time around, but still decided to wet sand with 2000 and 2500 grit, then Scratch X, then CG V38 anyway. I did mess up on the hood when clearing and let it dry tilted, so it did create a "drip". The "cooler" pics are the before, and the "warmer" pics are after. Have not waxed anything yet.

I am in total awe of your gloss painting! I can't paint gloss like that to save my life.
