JFlogerzi's FA20Club 91 and E85 Tune Results and Impressions
I am in the very beginning stages of tuning my FR-S for both 91 and E85. A full kit was purchased from FA20Club.com (cables, license, and both tunes) for a great combo price. So the process has been smooth. I received my kit yesterday. I took the day off from work today (mostly because I already worked 50 hours this week, but to flash my car!)
Current mods are aFe intake and perrin catback exhaust. Got the software installed, drivers etc... no problem. I emailed FA20 the required info they need to build my tune. I am starting on 91 and then will move onto E85(per FA20) I got my tune files in about 2 hours! Thats service First problem: When I go to flash my car, I don't have any licenses available to flash my ECU. Just sent an email to FA20Club. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I will continue to update this thread as I have more info. I plan to do the following: Post first drive impressions and then final impressions after each tune has been finalized. I also plan to do dyno's showing stock car with current mods, final 91 and E85 tunes. Stay tuned guys. I am very excited to be able to contribute my results and findings to the community. First drive impressions 91 Tune 3/09/13 The biggest change in my eyes is how much smoother the car revs and pulls through the gears. This is how the car should have come straight from the factory. The car also pulls harder as well. Not much more power down low, but there is some there. I do see a nice gain in 4.5K-7K redline range. I found myself winding out the RPMs through every shift. This was a short street run. I am going to try and do a canyon run tomorrow or at least some road that's not completely straight. Last edited by jflogerzi; 03-09-2013 at 11:09 PM. |

You may need to under options and apply the license in the dongle. If this has been done then follow this handy guide Jeff Perrin put up on his blog.

This 100% correct. FA20Club already responded with this info. I completed my flash and I am going for a small drive to get more gas. But tomorrow will start my logging and real drive. I rather not drive in the dark on a wet raining in so cal during peak traffic.

I got my kit from Fa20 today. I will start my flash next week sometime. I need to buy a new laptop battery and have a trip this weekend. Question how did you install the drivers for the dongle and cable, just plug them in? This was in the email I got. " You will also install the drivers for the Dongle and the Cable at the same time. Guides in doing so have already been emailed to you. " I did not get that guide.
Looks like its here. http://blog.perrinperformance.com/ec...n-rough-draft/

Sorry its been so long. Been busy at work. I am planning on trying E85 later this week. I am going to try and book something with Evasive Motorsports. In the mean time, I am going to do some virtual dyno's of each map to try and give you guys an idea before the real things.
