My recommendation is for you to reconsider the exhaust choice if you are running a front pipe that is without a resonator.

He's planning on running a catless header, which will make the car significantly louder than just swapping the front pipe out. What's on the upper limit of reasonable with the stock header can likely reach absurd volume once you do the headers.

^ this it goes from loud and normal car sounding to house rattling because racecar status once you swap headers and are full catless

I'd be willing to bet that on the TRD bumper, the exhaust cut outs are closer to the sides.
I already distinguished that he has the garnishes vs the full bumper. my question was that if they are different which they might be.

my original question was; If the 2 are actually different.
"which they most likely are" is what I said after.

Are you saying that you have checked and know for a fact that they are?

Hey man, if deductive reasoning can't tell you that if 2 exhausts, both made for the single cut out, and one is closer to the inside and the other is right in the middle, that the two bumper set-ups are different...

Well, you better get a fucking tape measure out and find an example of each bumper in real life and get to measuring.

I'm aware of the implications of going catless. My point is, even the quietest exhausts can be loud w/ certain combinations of header and front pipe.

When I had my Fujitsubo catted header AND Fujitsubo exhaust, it was very quiet.

When I put on a Berk front pipe, the entire setup was enough to rattle my house from the outside.

There is so much more to sound than just "what is the quietest"... hence my vague questions. If one wants quiet, one should not go catless.

Who said anything about going full catless? The JDL front pipe he's referring to has a cat and a resonator. The accepted knowledge is that most NA gains are from decatting the header, and he's trying to get the rest of the system quietish around that. Vague suggestions based on catted headers are not hugely relevant.

I never said anything about going full catless, I was replying to your post about going with a catless header and the implications of sound.

I referenced my own setup as an example of quiet individual components of exhaust system not equaling a quiet outcome.

There is another car I work on that has a Tommy Kaira full titanium exhaust. By itself, it's super quiet. With a Tomei UEL header and resonated front pipe, it was annoyingly loud.

I have the HKS Legamax Sports quad exhaust and I think it is pretty quiet. Maybe not as quiet as the Q300, but nearly. From the internet videos, I would say it might fit nicely in between the Q300 and the Perrin.
