Matt, what all did you guys change out when you built your engine for the Cosworth FA20? I assume pistons, and rods, but did you switch the bearings and any valve train?

I am a Hong Kong 2013 BRZ Ex-owner, and 2018 BRZ Prospective owner.

I am looking for your supercharge for my car which most of the time are daily use, therefore durability is my major concern. Due to the track is far away from my place at mainland china, I only run on track fews days per year.

I read all 71 pages of this forum and i would like to ask about:

1. You / Your company provide services of ECU mapping for your SC? Any charges?
2. For different fuel map for different octane fuel? Because the China fuel is bad quality which different from Hong Kong
3. For fuel map changing, can be it a one touch key operation or need a computer to change it?
4. Is it not allow to install any tower bar after installed the Cosworth SC?
5. Do your company have the SC total weight?

I think I can answer a few of those questions.
1. They do provide ecu mapping though you may need to buy the Cosworth ECUTek mapping kit.
2. Cosworth has done extensive logging of various fuel ratings all over the world. Given the quality of fuel in China/ Hong Kong you may need to data log it.
3. The stage 1 & 2 come with several maps. Simply pull the cruise control stalk and push up to select a map. It will be shown via the tachometer.
4. To my knowledge there are no strut towers that fit the kit since the intercoolers are rather larger (which is good!). Though you can always change the v-bars.
5. The weight I do not know.

Are you sure? Their development UK car weights 1335kg (including performance upgrades). I don't know how much the performance parts add to the weight, but the UK (or European) cars are also known to be much lighter than the NA cars.

well 63kg (or 65kg) equates to 135-140lbs. Now I lift fairly frequently, but I can assure you, when I had received my kit a few years back, it was no where near that heavy. It honestly felt more like 50-60lbs.

My car with cossy sc and ohlins at the time weighted 1255kg on a hunter corner alignment rig.

Ok. So, it looks that the weight of the development car was with a driver or something.

Must have been as I dont think Ohlins remove much weight at all, perhaps a kilogram or two. With a half a tank of fuel I think UK models come in around 1230kg, so 1255kg would suggest about 27kg which is about what I expected.

The heavy part; the intake and supercharger itself isnt that heavy as its aluminium. 15-20kg.

Then there 5litre of coolant ~5kg

Plus the intake bits (aluminium pipe and silicone bits), front mount radiator, pipes, pump and tank. ~5kg
