Really you people don't think 36k is to much for this little car? Really? It's a focus. Best known around here as a Fuckus.

Pretty close to 40k+ after taxes. That's a shit ton for a Focus with a shitty interior. I believe R&T (could be C&D) stated that its interior is just as a regular Focus, no different. I do like the fact that it's awd and twerbo. I'll probably buy one used in a few years when it's 10k as a winter beater.

I mean yeah if you don't care at all about the differences in power/turbo, brakes, transmission, AWD/drivetrain, differentials, suspension, cooling and aero then yep pretty much the same car.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for.

Yep, it's a Focus body.. with aero for zero lift front and rear, stiffened a bit (quite a bit in some areas) with what is being claimed as the best AWD system on any car right now by most reviewers and 350hp/350tq out of the box. Plus all the other bits.

So yeah, the interior is shit, body looks like a Focus hatchback which it is but it should be an absolute blast on the track.

So no, 36k or 41k as mine is configured is not too much for the car IMO.

I hope the Euro resale values of past RSes happens here.. but who knows. If it does, you won't see one for 10k for a long time...

Jeremy Clarkson tried to lower the hype a bit with his review:

However, whereas the critics on the launch went off to play with the Drift mode, which allows even those with fingers of butter and fists of ham to power-slide round corners, I started to think about what else you get with this car.

Even in Normal mode there’s a choppy vertical bouncing motion that is a bit annoying. You also get seats that are mounted on the car rather than in it — they’re far too high. Then there’s a range of only 250 miles and wipers that judder. Oh, and there’s a slot for your iPhone in the dash, which is great. But if you accelerate hard, it shoots out and goes onto the floor.

Furthermore, only one colour is available as standard. It’s a matt grey that Ford calls Stealth. Yeah, right. There is nothing stealthy about this car. It’s so loud and so festooned with spoilers that many potential customers will say, “No, thanks,” and buy the much more subtle Volkswagen Golf R instead.

That might be a wise decision, because while the Golf doesn’t have a Drift feature or quite such fearsome cornering ability, it won’t throw your phone on the floor every time you accelerate and it won’t cause your friends to call you Gary.

I like to think, then, that what I’ve provided here is a balanced review of the baby Jesus. I’ve explained that it has a few flaws and that you may be better off with something else.

Because, that way, your test drive in an RS won’t be burdened with hype, and you’ll emerge from the driver’s seat after 10 minutes thinking: “I have got to get me one of these.”

We've been begging for this car for many years and now that it's out still too much for some when you have the 5.0 Mustang for around same price so it might be a tough sell though for those wanting to get one I would surely hold out.

Yes, we were all begging for a fun RWD coupe and when two came out no one wanted them (UK market). If I was in the market for a Ford, it would be a GT350r.

I'd debadge it and do everything I could to make it look like a regular Focus. Maybe throw a kid seat in the back and slap an infuriating pretentious sticker on the back. Yeah, perfect.

And just prowl looking for loser flyby douchebags looking to up their street cred by showing off to the econobox.

Quit trying to out think the engineers and just drive the car.

Yep it's no different than the impreza/STi it's all preference. A lot of people think 26k is too much for the FRS.

Like I said in another thread the people that usually scream "too expensive" and "not worth it" are usually the people that can't afford it anyway.
Doesn't matter how inexpensive a car is there will be some group whining it cost too much. It just means the price moved a step down the income ladder.
