I'm all for a good debate, but yeah, I'm getting real disheartened at what dealers are telling everyone. 40k inc ORC is the top of my range, and even then I think I'd consider not buying (I'm actually expecting it to be out of my price range now).

Even though I know there are some stark contrasts, the WRX is fairly good value for $44k.

The MX5 sells because it's still one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest, convertibles. Expensive cars usually have a unique selling proposition that other similar cars don't come anywhere near.

Toyota is counting on the 86 to help lift its dour image with big dose of fun factor, while bringing young, cashed-up male buyers into its showrooms.
Yeah...right... "cashed-up" like hell i am...geez, took me ages to save up for this car. Still saving because the price has not been released yet. I swear this guy has no idea what his typing. LOL!

Just trying to imagine how many of us is going to bail if its more then 50K. I'll be first to jump the ship. LOL!

I've thought about it and realistically, 47k is probably my limit. 45k I'm ok with. 46 I'm not too happy. 50k? No way!

If this car hits 50K then it doesn't matter how much I want it but I'll bail too even though I pre-ordered last September/October... I'll import an Evo 8 MR instead...

BRZ Ltd.. or 86 GTS...

I just put a deposit down for a SWP, 6MT, GTS this morning.
Now that the BRZ prices over in the states are somewhat leaked.. I've been thinking about placing a deposit down for a BRZ Ltd aswell, subject pricing on whichever is cheaper.. hmmmmmm
