Good catch! Custom trunks already being made!

Yup.

If anything the new car is less of a Lexus clone since the Headlights, grille, and tail lights are nothing like the RC-F. It's only the fender vent really.
It doesn't strike me as generic, not anymore than the 1st gen.

Edit: we seriously block links to the 'other' forum? I mean they're not worth much over there but they post pictures I can rip.
Now Tcoat is gonna yell at me for taking up server space.

I'm sure there will be power losing hot air intakes and crappy axle backs available before the cars are available

Guys.

You could take both the 86 and gr86 and find similarities with a hundred cars.

None of them would be exactly alike. Honestly you see what you want to see.

The important thing is that they do not look the same. Keeping a 2D silhouette is one thing, but in real 3 dimensions this car will be its own car just as much as the 86 was.

This. And I'll add, looking like a mini-RCF is hardly an insult, that's a great looking car.

Black looks boring to me but it would look pretty cool if it gets tinted windows

Random, but I wish it came with the "D-shaped"/flat-bottomed exhaust tips like the TRD exhaust has. Purely aesthetic, but I like those better.

They fit the shape of the rear cutout much better than round. I miss my TRD exhaust!

Agreed, the coffee can exhaust tips have never really looked that good. I’m surprised they carried them over from last Gen to this Gen.

To each their own. I don't like any odd shaped exhaust tips and think they look awful. Was not a fan in the slightest of the TRD exhaust tips trying to flow with the lines of the rear bumper. Never liked square or rectangular shaped exhaust tips much either. I love round exhaust tips that fit neatly in the round-cuts of the bumper (like the Touring86 cat-back for gen1).

I wasn't a fan either until I saw them on a 2017+ 86 rear bumper. It flows very nicely with the redesigned lower bumper trim.
