I was disappointed but understand that it was all about hitting that price point. Still mulling over the idea of getting some JDM seats. Mrs. Ultra would like to sit higher.

Uncomfortable seats

What height adjustment? At 6’0” with 32” inseam I’m already only 2 fingers from the ceiling with the seat all the way down. The rear view mirror already blocks my view of the road ahead, I don’t want to go any higher.

I want negative shims for the seat brackets!

If OP is actually 6’4” with a 32” inseam, his torso is 4” longer than mine. I don’t even get how he fits in the car period lol. I don’t see how OP fits without slouching. With a 32” inseam and the seat 2 clicks from the back I can’t reach the pedals.

Not saying to crank it up but even a single pump could change his angle enough to relieve some of the pressure.

This may be easier than lowering the seat

I prefer this, it’s lighter:

I was having a lot of trouble with the seats. Did a few things:

1. don't rotate the pelvis towards the clutch too much, straighten it out and try keeping it that way
2. Don't be too upright or too reclined. Both will cause problems
3. work your abs and lower back (crunches + deadlifts) - worked for me
4. massages help as well

I'm approx 240 at 5'9 with approx 28" thighs and I wear 38s. Only times I've had leg pain is after muscle spasm (piriformis) /disc issues probably from years of beating on my body. Sitting correctly (i.e with a proper s curve in your spine) and a lumbar pillow will hopefully help you. Car is definitely uncomfortable if you're having back issues.

Good luck!

Pro tip I learned from my HPDE coach: With arms pulled back so shoulder blades sink into the seat, hands should be able to droop over the top of the steering wheel, wrists bent.

Actually, it isn't. I have one of these. Could easily go double... if that was a thing.

Take a look a NASCAR driver and how close they are to the steering wheel. There is a reason. You can move the wheel much faster with bent arms than straight. When I used to race, I was MUCH closer to the wheel than when street driving.

I recall reading that researchers recommend having at least 10" of space between your chest and the face of your steering wheel's airbag. I'll have to see if that conflicts with the "shoulders back, hook wrist over wheel rim" distance.
