So I finally was able to order some .45 ammo directly from Sig. It's a Christmas miracle!

What kind of LCR? I've been eyeing one myself, the triggers are definitely really nice.

I have around 700 cases prepped for .300blk I just can't find any small rifle primer in my area

Just the standard LCR in .38 special. No crazy metal finishes or anything. Internal hammer, DAO. I know it’s a crowded market and we’re spoiled for choice, but I felt that the factory Hogue grip and smooth, non-stacking DAO trigger were worthwhile for the price-point. They seem incredibly user-friendly to me. I know everyone’s hand is different but I feel like they really nailed that grip shape.

Couple of my favorite rimfire pistols:
Izhmash IZH-35M and a Sig/Hammerli Trailside.

I run PowerCustom 10/22 action springs in the two IZH-35M. Replaced all the soft slotted screws with flat socket cap screws. Reworked the grips to fit my hand better. I’ve probably put a combined total of 10k rounds through both IZH-35M and I don’t think they’ve choked even once. Excellent triggers at 1.5 and 2 lbs. Can be safely dry-fired. They have downward-pivoting hammers. I use the 5rd factory mags but there is a great tutorial on rimfirecentral for modifying the less expensive S&W 22a/22s 10rd mags to fit.

I bought the Trailside new in around 2005-2006. They’re notorious for cracking their own trigger guard/slide stops if you run high-velocity rounds. At some point mine ate it’s own plastic guide-rod. That’s when I replaced the guide-rod, action-spring, and barrel-weight with Larry’sCustom parts, and the plastic grips with Rink stippled walnut. I’ve never run high-velocity rounds through mine. Cannot be safely dry-fired. Triggers are pretty mushy from the factory but can be dialed-down to be more crisp.

Couple of old centerfire pistols:
Astra 300 in .32acp and one in .380auto.
Astra 200 in .25acp and a Zehna type III, also in .25acp.

Neither of my Astra 300 are Nazi-marked. I’ve forgotten what the exact production dates were but they were likely Nazi contract guns that were later brought back by returning American GI’s. They’re direct blow-backs with internal hammers. They have external safeties that are mechanically kicked off when the slides are racked. The Astra 200 (FN 1905/Colt 1908 clone) is just a clean three-line example. The Zehna type III is less common, and what little I know was gleaned from the site, Unblinking Eye. None have import marks.

I am not a fan of the .40 either in a smaller framed pistol. It took a lot of shooting to get comfortable with my carry.

Got a 20rd drum too.

It's been chopped, coated, the trigger group moved from a sporting position to a tactical position, a Halo quad rail attached, and a door breach welded on to make the barrel legal length. I have waaaay too much into this!

New 10/22, Tactical innovation fluted barrel, upgrade trigger, extended mag release, stainless Yankee Hill suppressor, vintage stock from the 1970's, decent scope.

Just a quick pic of some light setups.

Surefire M600DF on an 11.5", Modlite PLHv2 on a 14.5", and Surefire M300C on a suppressed 9" 300blk

Recently got the modlite and it's such an improvement over the Surefire lights to be honest. Candela is wayyyy better and the modlite button is much nicer than the traditional tape switches. Probably gonna switch the other two to similar setups as well now.

I’ve been browsing very early 10/22 and Mini-14 more and more often on gunbroker lately. Some are still NIB and unfired. I never considered them collectible until recently. One of my buddies just picked up an early stainless Mini-14 from a retired law enforcement gentleman. Apparently it was his personal ride-along gun, although never used in anger, so it came with a neat story as well. Wood upper handguard and marked Law Enforcement Only. It’s oddly minty apart from a single rub point on the barrel between the front sight and gas block.

Might be time for me to get a gun We keep getting homeless trespassing onto our apartment complex (I'm just a tenant, though), and even the cops say the types coming here are not to be engaged with because they may become very violent.

Just now another dude walked up the steps and stopped in front of my unit doorway and kept muttering, then walked back downstairs, looked at the cars, and hopefully finally walked off the property, but I couldn't tell from my kitchen window.
