topspeed difference between manual transmission and automatic transmission

I´m searching for some facts.
I´ve read that the topspeed with manual will be 230 kph, with automatic only 210 kph
Any confirmation

Well if the car is not electronically limited the auto should have a higher top speed.

Final drive ratio: 4.100
MT top gear: .767
AT top gear: .582
and wheel size of 24.8 inches

That's a limit of about 170mph for the manual and 200+ for the auto.

I seriously doubt it.

The auto has almost exactly the same gear ratios for 4th and 5th as the manual has for 5th and 6th, and it has the same final drive ratio so gearing isn't a factor. So for those numbers to be accurate, the auto would have to be putting 24% less power to the wheels than the manual (ie. not likely).

will the 200hp engine be enough to even push the car to those top speeds?

No! Definitely not. No way this car could hit 170mph even though the drag coefficient is very good.

140 would most likely be top speed.

130 to 140 mph = 209 to 225 kph

(*Just converting for ya, not saying this is the top speed of the BRZ*)

Actually the gear ratios do matter. The car wont do above 130 in 5th gear in the MT and 4th gear in the auto. The .767 in the MT in 6th is producing 7%+ more torque than the auto with a gear ratio of .713 in 5th.

It will be higher in the rev range and presumably closer to peak torque.

It's definitely not a highway car, that's for sure.

Fun fact: a human's terminal velocity while skydiving is about 120-170mph depending on body position.

Makes sense. Many manufacturers electronically limit the auto trans version to a lower speed. I know this has been true for at least some Subarus in the past.
